Description

The second, just after coal, soap for special tasks, invaluable in the fight against skin diseases such as psoriasis, dandruff and eczema. And at the same time the first one with such a specific, unique and highly controversial aroma (palpable notes: smokehouse / old socks / sausage / tar / tab-ends / insert any term). Interestingly – there is a large group of people who love this specific aroma. This is the only cosmetic of its kind – the relatively high price of the product results from the difficult process of producing this soap.

Effects:
Okay, let’s get to the point. Added in an amount of 2% of the soap weight, birch tar is obtained naturally during the dry distillation process of birch wood, called pyrolysis*. It occurs in the form of an oily liquid with a dark colour, characterized by a sharp smell. It contains, among others, betulin, guaiacol, xylene, phenol and resin substances, organic acids, phytoncides. It has disinfecting, antipruritic, antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, anti-parasitic, anti-dandruff and antifungal as well as keratoplastic effect (thanks to which it softens the stratum corneum). A lot of it, isn’t it? Because tar is a good thing – it can do real miracles for problematic skin and cure what nothing else could deal with successfully so far.
In addition, tar also has the effect of mild anaesthesia, which has a positive effect on the well-being of people with skin problems, because it perfectly alleviates their symptoms. It is also a great care product. One substance – lots of positive properties.

Therefore, we recommend tar soap in particular to those who are struggling with the problems we mentioned above. This multi-purpose cube should cope with, among others, pruritus, acne, persistent blackheads and dandruff (yes – you can safely wash your hair with it).
*Pyrolysis is a thermal process involving the decomposition of wood without air, in retorts heated from the outside to a temperature of 500° C (see Wikipedia).

We pack tar soap in a sealed bag, but the aroma is strong enough that the courier or the postman will probably die out of curiosity (and hopefully only because of it), wondering what he actually brought you there. This soap outweighs the price of other bars from the Four Starlings, because its production is much more difficult and time-consuming. The specificity of this cosmetic allows us to create batches smaller than standard ones.
For the most part, we are getting a very positive response regarding the performance of our tar soap, but please note that due to different skin types and sources of skin problems, we are not able to give you one hundred percent guarantee that it will work as You would like it.

Properties:
Coconut oil – obtained from coconut copra, has antifungal, antiviral and antibacterial properties (thanks to a high content of lauric acid).
Shea butter – a nourishing vitamin bomb irreplaceable in accelerating the skin regeneration process – also creates a natural protective coat and protects it from harmful factors from the environment.
Olive oil – protects the skin against excessive water loss, thereby eliminating excessive dryness; leaves it soft and smooth.
Castor oil – is disinfecting and anti-inflammatory; soothes all kinds of irritations and is helpful in the fight against skin diseases.
Birch tar – has a disinfecting, antipruritic, anti-inflammatory, anti-parasitic and antifungal effect.

Recommended use:
Put the bar under a stream of water, soak it in your hands several times to get a foam and cleanse the skin of the entire body. The soap can also be used to wash the hair and the scalp.

Our soaps are made by hand using the cold method. We don’t use machines and complicated algorithms – the whole process is pure craft. Each bar is therefore slightly different and doesn’t always look like the one in the picture. If you notice a slight white coating on the top edge of the soap – don’t worry – it’s just pure glycerine which precipitates during the saponification process.

Vegan cosmetic – a product created without the use of raw materials of animal origin.
