Serum with increased content of vitamin C is recommended for people who want to improve the condition of the skin after chemical peels and laser dermabrasion, and to improve the appearance of dull, acne-prone skin, with erythema, wrinkles and discoloration. The basic active ingredient is vitamin C in three forms.
This vitamin is essential for human health, it is also very important for maintaining the good condition of the skin tissue. Participates in the synthesis of elastin, collagen and hyaluronic acid responsible for the elasticity of the skin and maintaining an appropriate level of hydration in it. Lack of hydration means laxity and the appearance of wrinkles. Vitamin C strengthens the walls of blood vessels so that redness and the network of veins become less visible. It regulates the production of melanin – the skin’s pigment, thanks to which the skin brightens and discoloration is reduced. It soothes inflammation. Vitamin C is a very strong antioxidant that inhibits skin aging and DNA damage in cells caused by e.g. solar radiation. It slows down the process of oxidation and hardening of sebum, thus preventing the formation of blackheads. Vitamin C belongs to the group of exogenous vitamins, i.e. vitamins that the human body cannot produce by itself, but should be supplied from the outside, e.g. through food or through the skin (ointments, creams, compresses, etc.). Vitamin C in its pure form is unstable, while its connections with some groups of compounds (e.g. with proteins) are more durable, penetrate the skin more easily and are easier to absorb there.
The action of the vitamin is supported by glycerin, sweet almond oil, rosehip oil and citric acid. Glycerin attracts water from the environment, retaining moisture in the stratum corneum, thanks to which it visibly moisturizes it. Visibly improves the elasticity and softness of the skin.
Sweet almond oil is a rich set of unsaturated fatty acids that strengthen the skin’s lipid barrier, thus protecting it against water loss. They soften the epidermis and improve the blood supply to the upper layers of the skin. The oil squeezed from rosehips contains unsaturated fatty acids, vitamins and minerals. It has a slightly astringent and antioxidant effect, eliminates fine wrinkles, and increases skin elasticity. Accelerates the regeneration of skin cells. Citric acid is an antioxidant. It has exfoliating properties, reduces discoloration, evens out the color and brightens the skin. It has antibacterial, disinfecting and astringent properties. Restores the proper pH of the skin.
The serum can be used in the morning and in the evening. Do not use on highly irritated skin.
Apply a small amount of the serum to the cleansed skin of the face, neck and décolleté and gently massage. Avoid contact with the eyes. Leave to absorb completely and then apply a suitable night or day cream. During the treatment, an SPF50 filter should be used during the day.
ATTENTION! Use should be discontinued after the appearance of adverse reactions.
Do not use other preparations containing retinol, AHA, BHA and PHA acids and niacinamide 15% while using the vitamin C 15% serum.
The product is initially white in color, but after some time it may turn yellow, which is a natural phenomenon resulting from the high content of active ingredients.
After this color change, the serum can still be used safely.
The preparation is placed in AIRLESS packaging that protects its contents against contact with bacteria, light and restricts air access. Maintaining microbiological purity reduces the addition of preservatives. The application takes place via a plunger and a pump, which protects the cosmetic against contact with hands, which may contain various bacteria and impurities.
